He was also impressed with the Palestine football potential, saying, if the eligible players of Palestine are gathered from all over the world, the strength will explode.

Meanwhile, the visitors’ head delegate Mohammed Abu Srour lauded the way there were extended warm welcome by the Pakistani people at the Lahore’s airport.

The touring side will be led by Abdullah Saidawi (Hilal Al-Quds). Bezaz and Srour also thanked the Pakistan Football Federation’s (PFF) President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat and the PFA chief Al Rajoub Jibril for arranging the tour. Palestine trained in Amman before setting off for Pakistan. After the tour of Pakistan, the PFA will hold a training camp in Kuwait in the second week of next month to prepare the team for the AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers Group A to be held in Myanmar from March 21-25.

Bangladesh, Myanmar and Philippines are the other teams in Group A.

Few days ago, Palestine Olympic team tasted a 0-1 defeat at the hands of Thailand. But this is the senior team of Palestine and it looks obvious that the visitors are here to get some experience ahead of the AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers. Palestine team practiced for an hour under floodlights at the Punjab Stadium.
